CRJS 201 Introduction to Homeland Security 3 hours credit. Course offers a comprehensive overview and understanding of Homeland Security (HLS) with an emphasis on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its relevance to policing. This course will review case studies of past domestic and international terrorism attacks. In addition, this course will conduct an in-depth analysis of past and current HLS and relevant policing, models, practices, policies, and programs as well as examine the overall restructuring of the federal government agencies that now make up the DHS.
