Leighton University offers scholarships each year to deserving students based on merit and/or achievement.  Applying for scholarships to finish your degree program at Leighton has never been easier! Leighton offers a limited number of merit-based One Step Away Merit Scholarship to near-completers.  Near completers are students who enroll at Leighton University, having earned 75% or more credits toward an associate or bachelor's degree or have 25% earned credits transferable toward the Master's of Education Program. A GPA of 2.50 or higher is required of undergraduate students and a 3.00 GPA for graduate students.

Important Notes:

• Students can still complete the application following the priority deadline. Consideration of late applications will be done if scholarships are still available.
• Scholarship selection is competitive; not all applicants will receive a scholarship.
• Scholarships require full-time (12 credit hours in any F or S or combination ) enrollment and maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 2.50 or higher.

The One Step-Away Merit Scholarship Application allows both current and incoming students to apply for scholarships available in specific any of the University's majors, including the School of Graduate Studies. Incoming students must apply to Leighton before they are eligible to apply for scholarships. Students cannot appeal their One-Step Away scholarship decisions, and the University does not match award offers from other institutions.
