A.S. Management Program Requirements

A.S. Business Administation/Management

You’ll need 62 credits hours to complete this program. These may be earned through a combination of the general education courses, content, and electives requirements. Required courses may vary based on transferable credits. To graduate with an associate’s degree, students must submit proof of successful completion of a minimum of 62 semester hours of credit, which includes the following:

  • Successful completion of the General Education Requirements (34 credit hours) in effect at the time the student begins continuous enrollment.
  • Successful completion of 24 credit hours of discipline-related courses.
  • Successful completion of 3 credit hours of free electives.
  • Successful complete of 1 credit hour of University Studies
  • Overall, at least 15 credit hours must be completed at Leighton University.
  • A minimum grade point average of C (2.0) on all Leighton credit, and a grade of at least C in all discipline-related courses.
  • Note: Course prerequisites must be observed. If the student anticipates pursuing a bachelor’s degree, courses should be selected that will advance that degree goal.

General Education Program (34 credit hours)

Since some recommended courses fulfill more than one requirement, substituting courses for those listed may require you to take additional courses to meet degree requirements. Consult an advisor whenever taking advantage of other options. Information on alternate courses (where allowable) to fulfill general education requirements (in communications, arts and humanities, behavioral and social sciences, biological and physical sciences, mathematics, and research and computing literacy) may be found UNDER THIS LINK.

Note: Excess credit earned in fulfilling any general education requirement may be applied toward meeting the electives requirements.
