CUIN 516 – Digital Age Teaching and Learning Methods (3 hours credit): Students will explore how digital tools allow for new teaching and learning models in diverse learning environments such as the traditional classroom setting, libraries, coaching models, and industry training in this foundational course. Students will engage in a critical review of how technology has been used and explore current educational settings trends. Students will discuss relevant theories of cognition, explore access and equity issues, and consider how curriculum, instruction, and assessment might be designed to support technology. The course’s learning environment will model different engagement, instructional, and assessment strategies, including readings, multiple modes of digital discussions and reflections, practical applications, design projects, and social networks.
