Several offices of the University place holds on student records. A hold may be placed on a student's record for various reasons, such as an unpaid bill or fine, failure to return books or equipment, or failure to be admitted to a degree program within the specified time limit. Some prevent registration, issuance of transcripts, and/or diplomas. The Office of the Registrar cannot remove holds placed by other offices. A hold can only be removed by the office that placed it.
