A QEP (Quality Enhancement Plan) is a university-wide plan to improve student learning over five years. The QEP is a part of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC). The Commission is committed to advancing the quality of higher education, and QEP thus introduced as an integral part of the accreditation reaffirmation. Every Institution accredited by SACSCOC determines student learning needs and develops a QEP to improve student learning. The QEP is an excellent opportunity for an institution to assess its institutional quality and effectiveness in student learning activities and outcomes; and implement strategies for improving student learning and the quality of higher education.

Beginning in Fall 2022, Leighton University engage our communities in identifying a critical areas to commit and improving/enhance specific student learning outcomes and/or student success. Our efforts will include an exploration of the institution’s culture, strategic planning, goals, mission, and assessment results.  We will take a deep dive into issues centered on student learning where shared interests, concerns, and aspirations emerge. Once, area is identified, a theme will be crafted and University resources will be committed to achieve our goal.
